Studio 107 was created to establish a dialogue among contemporary artists and to introduce contemporary art to more of Austin.

The works shown at Studio107 are edgy, contemporary, humorous, and technically excellent in execution, concept, implication or all three. The artists who show in this space are dedicated to producing high quality art even if it means late nights after a hard day's work somewhere else. They strive to challenge their peers to achieve a higher level of perception.

After the great success of Rising Stars Vol. 1, Studio 107 presents the second iteration of Rising Stars by independent curator Till Richter. Rising Stars Vol. 2 will show you more new and upcoming talent that you can bet on. Terra Goolsby is featured with a selection of her “Femmes fatales” sculptures using acrylic tubes like blood vessels in a human body. Jason Buchanan’s medium and large-scale charcoal “mark-makings” give a whole new painterly and conceptual sense to drawing, and Aron Johnston’s clever mixed-media paintings open up a cornucopia of art historical and contemporary passageways.
