Leona ScullHons

My work has evolved from recording daily activities and interactions (by capturing the residue left from actions) to letting the activities and interactions stand as artworks themselves. I create communal events where social interactions occur. It is less about the signature of the artist and more about an exchange between the participant and myself. The participant becomes a collaborator and helps create the meaning and final outcome of my work. Rather than creating an object, I am transferring the creative control from myself to the participant by setting up parameters for an interaction to occur within.
