Max Kazemzadeh is an electronic media artist who explores diverse materials
and technology in the creation of his installations, performances, videos,
photographs and paintings to alter the viewer/user experience in an
unexpected way. He studies the spectacle of human interaction and exploits the
relationship between the artist and viewer in the context of what he calls "dial-logs."

His current work explores comfort, security, and the American subconscious
in relation to culture and human interaction. Images of violence and war
transmitted to an American populace by the media transforms perceptions
and judgments of groups of people within the populace, and reforms those
relationships in complex and varied ways. Kazemzadeh, an Iranian-American,
challenges the notions of identity within the context of his Persian cultural
upbringing in an American society, and explores how identity can transmogrify
in response to the violence of current world events.

Studio 107 was created to establish a dialogue among contemporary artists and to introduce contemporary art to more of Austin.

The works shown at Studio107 are edgy, contemporary, humorous, and technically excellent in execution, concept, implication or all three. The artists who show in this space are dedicated to producing high quality art even if it means late nights after a hard day's work somewhere else. They strive to challenge their peers to achieve a higher level of perception.
