Seven artists cluster in the residence/office/exhibition space at Studio 107 for "Pink Perspectives." Katherine Bash molds muted porcelain into extraordinary biological formations that rest on tabletops like frozen science projects. Melanie Crader's latex-smoothed panels are lined with decorative treatments, but remain inarticulate. Ellen Frances Tuchman obsessively encrusts banners with sparkling trinkets and texts pin-pricked into surfaces for an overwhelming effect.

Amanda Stahl's moody, sepia-toned photographic prints of horses seem tangential at first, but she has a way with the bold contours and noble spirits of her subjects. Jacqueline May's line drawings, silhouettes and patternings on gold leaf need more space than this cluttered exhibit. Elizabeth Joblin's mix of textured acrylics are reserved, except for "Gold Font," an arrangement of oversized, color-swirled blobules.

"Pink Perspectives" continues through July 31 at Studio 107, 411 Brazos St., No. 107, 489-8839, www.studio107.com.

Studio 107 was created to establish a dialogue among contemporary
artists and to introduce contemporary art to more of Austin.

The works shown at Studio107 are edgy, contemporary, humorous, and technically
excellent in execution, concept, implication or all three. The artists who show in this space are dedicated to producing high quality art even if it means late nights after a hard day's work somewhere else. They strive to challenge their peers to achieve a higher level of perception.
